Hi Megan,

I don't have experience in project management but am beginning a project to create and market a specialty training game. Your points are salient and I'll use them as my colleague and I begin our project. Can't wait to learn more about your mistakes, so that I can avoid my own.
Thanks for the crisp, well-formulated project outline.

Hi Megan,

Although I differ with you on some of your points, I do agree on others (PMBOK is boring, the dishwasher manual, etc...). Nevertheless, you have to consider that the PMBOK is a very technical book which aim is to formalize Project Management, hence the boring aspect of it.

I've published a series, <a href='http://www.pmhut.com/?s=%22PMI+Proves+the+Value+of+Project+Management%22' rel="nofollow">PMI Proves the Value of Project Management</a>, that relates to the link you provided.

One great Project Manager once told me, it's not about which methodology you follow, it's just about getting the project done, this is what you'll be remembered for.

I think your article is enjoyable and I would like to republish it on PM Hut, please either email me or contact me through the "Contact Us" form on the PM Hut site in case you're OK with this.
